In 2009 Gentian paid a capital contribution for the benefit of a 40-year underlease of the retail element of the PFI-built Royal Derby Hospital.
What we did
Initially Gentian granted sub-underleases of the six units to Compass, Boots and McColl's before the latter two were assigned to the Trust to operate their Pride Pharmacy and to Compass to bring their holding to a total of five units. Compass trade as M&S Simply Food, Costa Coffee, Amigo and Coffee House (two units).
Gentian’s in-house estates team manages the retailers' occupation including collecting the rents and service charges and taking all financial and operational risks associated with the space.
