Walsall Manor Hospital, West Midlands
Gentian made a financial contribution to the new PFI hospital scheme at Walsall by purchasing a new 30 year headlease for the retail and food court areas in the new main entrance building.
What we did
The scheme at Walsall Manor Hospital consists of three units on the ground floor sublet by Gentian to Tates Limited and Blakemore & Son trading as Taste Cafe and Lounge, and Spar. At first floor level there is a food court and a Costa Coffee pod operated by Elior.
Gentian’s project team ensured the retailers fit-outs were managed sensitively allowing for the Hospital environment and that they were delivered on time and within budget.
Gentian’s in-house estates team manages the retailers' occupation including collecting the rents and service charges; taking all financial and operational risks associated with the space.
